Newborns & Infants

Assessments

Have your baby assessed in your own home for any concerns you, your health visitor or paediatrician may have:

  • Following difficult and traumatic births
  • Delayed development
  • Head turning preferences and flat head syndrome
  • Bronchiolitis and chest infections
  • 'Colicky' babies with sleep and/or reflux difficulties

Follow-up treatments & advice

For new mothers, we provide advice & teaching of:

  • Techniques to promote your baby's physical development during play and routine daily activities
  • Appropriate sensory stimulation
  • Calming strategies for the fussy or 'colicky' baby
  • Creating sleep routines
  • Infant massage

Toddlers

Assessments

  • Delayed walking and other developmental milestones
  • Musculoskeletal problems including limb pains ('growing pains')
  • Neuro Developmental Assessments
  • Hypermobility
  • Dyspraxia (clumsiness), regular falls
  • Chest infections

Follow-up treatments & advice

Have your toddler treated in your own home using age-appropriate games and fun activities. Be issued with a photographic home exercise program to help you promote your child's treatment.

Older children

Assessments

Thorough neurological assessment for children with existing diagnoses of neurological conditions, including Cerebral Palsy.

Musculoskeletal conditions including Hypermobility, Developmental Co-ordination Disorder and poor core stability.

Follow-up treatments & advice

You will be issued with a photographic program of effective activities to do with your child to ensure carryover from therapy sessions.

Neuro Developmental therapy is tailored to your child's abilities and interests, provided by a Bobath trained clinical specialist, using an understanding of sensory processing.

Initial Assessment

Thorough assessments for preterm and newborn babies regarding development; head shape or head turning preference; sleep and colic; chesty coughs.

Neuro Developmental, Respiratory and Musculoskeletal Assessments for all children up to 16 years.
